sayerbloke
We've done these sort of threads in the LoJ before, but let's do one about cars/motoring. Basically, state a fact that other people may not know. To kick us off; Ferrari sold 349 F50s to the public [and kept one for themselves]. Why 349? Well, they did some research beforehand and found that there was a market for 350 cars... and then declared that a Ferrari should be something that is sought after so deliberately made one less than that

malagus
The Fiat seicento was built in the greatest country on earth: Poland. due to this, it is alot more reliable than any other fiat. (its still woefully shoddily built, but if you buy a fiat, make sure its built in Poland)

shao_khan
It initial versions of the Lotus Carlton were developing 1bhp less than Alain Prosts F1 car at the time. The car was detuned for production partly for safety and partly they had a lot of trouble with breaking throttle linkages under certain conditions. NewNiceMrMe
Below the BMW Headquarters in Germany is a huge garage of cars. In it, is every single major model release from the past 50 years (and more). When they're designing a new car they deliberately try to incorporate at least one feature from one of the older cars in the garage - to emphasis a heritage. Take the rear of the new E90 3-series for example. Well the day they went to pick up the 'heritage item' for it they'd had a power cut and couldn't see properly. So instead of taking a snap of the rear of one of the gorgeous vintage models they instead took a picture of a chest of drawers in the corner and it all went horribly wrong...
