Rocket_Man
I'm going to change my fuel pressure regulator in the next few weeks with the goal of going to AMD Stage 4. I understand the standard FPR runs at 3 bar, so getting an adjustable 3-5 bar can't cause problems running with too little pressure. So: 1. What sort of pressure sees the best gains and would this be higher/lower after Stage 4? 2. How can you tell if the pressure is too high? (if possible). 3. Any tips on fitting/adjusting? Roll on Mook, "fountain of all R32 knowledge" (or so it seems) I know you have the eurospec FPR from another post: http://www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/show...true#Post470794 Any other information would be appreciated
Smudge
Ignore Mook & his Milk float, Helf's yer man on the FPR. I believe he's still running his in his Supercharged R. Come on Helf, font of all knowledge, for fuel pressure regulators anyway . . . . .

Mook
Smudge, electric motors are the way to go - I now run a VW Golf R32H for Hybrid. The 400KG electric motor in the boot does add a bit to the weight, but at least it's the right colour... Helf takes a bit longer to get to work, because he's only running the AmD Stage 3 R32 Demonstrator while he waits for his to come back. His whistling VF Stage 2 supercharged monster runs a 5 bar reg at the minute - you have to run this because the VF Stage 2 uses larger injectors. Rocket Man - there's no point in fitting a HPFR to a stock car - you'll need to wait until you go to AmD Stage 4. I fitted the Eurospec reg after Helfinger played with one on his ST4, before he went completely nuts and got the supercharger installed.
helfinger
well its not strictly true now......... as i have had a few more changes to the old girl. Due to having larger injectors fitted because of the new cams / SC there was not the need to use the 5 bar fuel reg that the kit recommends. So i have actually gone back to a 4 bar at the moment. When i had my stage 4 the 5 bar fuel reg certainly made the car smoother and also at higher revs made sure the car did not starve its-self of fuel......... if you go to this site: jbrperformance click engine, then tuning Accessories, you will find one a bit cheaper than importing from the US as Mook and i did. also the Std R32 has a 4 Bar Fuel Reg not a 3 bar.... hope this helps
