torqtoise
Anyone know how to remove the black upholstery/trim off the interior rear boot door, ive got screen wash pouring into the boot , the hose seems to have some disconnected from the rear wiper behind the trim, ive removed the 2 black screws from the 2 recessed handles (which you use to close the hatch) but it still seems really stiff and i dont want to snap anything
Smudge
Isn't this what the dealer is for? Get VW to recover it, you'll get a loaner FOC & as it's recovered VW have to trun it around ahead of anything else. Don't cause yourself more stress with all that. dazr32
i had the same problem 2 nights ago. the alarm was also going off as the water had indeed penetrated the switch, like the write up says you do need to prise the lower panel once you have released the 2 screws, take care not to break anything, but with a good tug you should be able to get the panel off. luckily mine was not damaged and had simply unclipped although i did have a new rear screen a few months ago so they might not have reattached it properely at the time. torqtoise
thanks guys, it saved me having to drive 60 miles and then wait an hour or so for the dealer to undo 2 screws and pull off a plastic panel
mb
I always like to fix stuff like this myself where I can - as can spend time getting it "just right" - was it the tube popped off and did it just go back on ?
