Valeting in Norfolk

Hi. Welcome to TSN beerchug.gif

Near Diss... well, 18 months ago I bought my car from a garage near Scole called Jade Motor Company. When I picked it up it looked amazing. Whether they'll do valeting on a car you take to them I'm not sure, but they might be able to recommend someone nearby if not. Worth a shot smile.gif. It's a bit out of the way for me, but I'm thinking of taking my car back to them to have them respray a couple of areas on it, seeing as they made a good job of one bit just before I bought it.

Hope that helps smile.gif

Many thanks for that. I bought the car private and it was in okish condition. The guy I bought from said he had used a valeter regualrly but it wasnt up to my standards. I just want to get the car looking shiny ready for when we get some sun!!!

I do know of Jade MoCo so may give them a try. Are there any decent places in Norwich. I have used the drive in drive out place before just off the ringroad...Soapy Joes i think but you get what you pay for really. Cost me £8 to get majority of the winter crud off but not really a valet..

Saw a car that had just been valeted the other day, I was in the Thickthorn filling station and he was next to me filling up, I commented that his M3 looked like glass, he said that he was really pleased and he had had it done at Soapy Joes, full valet though at £22/hour and it took just over 3 hours (charged for 3).

Anyway I took my Avant in on Wednesday morning and had the mini valet at £22. Got to say it looked really good, and after having that I would definitely try there full valet.

Cheers guys.

I have found a company that will visit me at home. They came recommended froma business associate who had them detail his RR Sport. Have booked them in for Thursday.

Took the M3 out today and gave her a thrash. Goes like a train. Really glad I made the decision to buy a beemer. One thing tho' is its true no one lets you out of side turnings..LOL

Ok guys, Sorry for not posting for a while...caught a sickness bug from my wife and been laid up in bed for last three days.

Got the car detailed on Thursday and it looks fantastic. the company came out and claybarred the paintwork after washing then washed it again before waxing the paintwork. WOW. The paint really shines and the rain has just trickled off. All for £129 including interior. this was exceptional as they used Gliptone on the leather and it smells brand new again. Top job.

Used a company called Evolution Valet. They came recommended by a colleague who has them on a regular contract. It wasnt until they arrived that I recognised the van. Its a black Merc Vito and its very smart.

I had a guy called Martin do the M3 and he was very thorough. He walked around the car with me asking if there was anything in particular I wanted doing. I said no just cleaned. he showed me a trick with cigarette paper which blew me away as to how dirty the car was. It highlights engrained dirt. The car was then washed and claybarred then washed again !! then hand waxed first with a product called Sealer glaze then a carnauba wax. Then he did the interior and WOW that was just as good. They use Gliptone which my Dad uses on his old Rover. One application cleans then another conditions the leather leaving it smelling like new.

Overall very impressed and would not hesitate in recommending them. I have now asked for a regular monthly valet.

Its good to find a genuine guy who obviously cares about his job. 169144-ok.gif

Didnt know about the reviews section. As the company isnt national should I post it?

Got some pictures coming back from developers. Sorry not into modern digi cameras. I am having the pics put onto disc so should be able to load up and add to the thread.

Sure you should. There are some members from this area and the reviews section would show up on google searches so it could lead to non-members reading it and maybe joining up.

Just a thought cool.gif169144-ok.gif
