their are two interesting articles in this months audi driver.one article talks about the success of the 1.8t engine. and the other is all about s3 ownership interviewing various owners and what there opinion is on the car. makes interesting reading particularly on their being no differences in power between the 210 bhp and the 225 bhp versions shocked.gif

Im sure there was a difference in the 210/225.

Ive seen loads bang on the money on 210.

and ive seen some more than 210, but less than 225.

so if one is putting out 215, is that a

210 with 5 bhp more

or a 225 with 10 bhp less. tongue.gif

they remap the same anyway.

I've read that and they say the 'supposed' 210 version is quicker to 60 than the 225 (assuming we are talking about the same article...)

I have never driven a 225 but I'd like to so I could compare. I've heard that the 210 bhp engines do produce 225 bhp but Audi just said they did 210 because they didn't want to piss off Audi TT owners that had just spent more money for the same performance.

NOt sure if this is tru but how come there are no Seats/VWs?skodas with the so called 210 engine......

I'll just have to get mine on the rolling road then to see for myself what it is..... tongue.gif

EDIT - I've put up quite an old version...oops..

Anyone want it deleted??

Let's hope this works...It's too big. If you go less than 200k you can't read it....

Wait 5 mins....

FYI - Page 5 is on the next page.

just wondering if any of the owners featured in the mag are tyresmokers.also article about 1.8t engine states and i quote many tuners who have had 210 ps s3 on the rolling road reckon these engines were no different to the 225s fitted to the tts,

[ QUOTE ]

My 210ps face lift with 48k on the clock was 223.4ps on the rolling road at AMD. I was pleased with that as for some mad reason the 210 is quite a bit cheaper to insure! 169144-ok.gif

[/ QUOTE ]

I couldn't get a quote on a 225 - so the TTC and facelift S3 went out the window tongue.gif

Still love my 210 tho! grin.gif

I would take anything a rolling road tells you with a pinch of salt! wink.gif

For the record my 210 gave 211bhp and 212 lb/ft but really, if there is anyone out there with a standard car bothering to worry about 210 vs 225 then you're missing the point. Go and get it remapped because you won't be able to comprehend the difference until you've tried it! 169144-ok.gif

So many of us have had remaps without problems that as long as you go to a reputable Tuner you should have nothing to worry about. Nowadays they just plug into your car, pload some "improved" data tables and the whole process can be done in 10 minutes. The car is transformed grin.gif

Yes, this type of remap can be reversed. With mine (REVO) there is an optional Dongle which allows me to adjust settings on my car. E.g. I can swap the car back to normal, I can adjust the level of boost and the advance of the timing. These changes take less than 10 seconds 169144-ok.gif

Just wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with the AmD One-Click.

Debating whether I go for and off the shelf REVO with SPS or AmD custom with One-Click.

Not sure if I'd make use of the adjustable boost and timing settings.

Mollox, what adjustability do you get? 169144-ok.gif
