DenisO
Having trouble getting anymore than a dribble from the rear washer. It ran out of fluid yesterday and I refilled today. Fronts are fine but the rear is just a dribble. My handbook suggests a seperate resevoir for the back but I don't seem to have one in the place shown so I guess mine runs of the front resevoir. Any ideas as to the route taken by the pipework from front to back and likely points where the pipes may become dislodged or perished. It's a 98 2.4 SE. Soapsuds
i had this issue on mine ('03 model) for a few months. I think it was crap in the nozzle, due to its open location on the rear hatch. Mine fixed itself somehow, when i put a not-far-off-neat mixture of screenwash through it!!! Might be worth taking off and trying to clean the nozzle....
DenisO
Thanks for the suggestion but as an up-date I just noticed fluid dripping (or should that be pouring) from just in front of the rear offside wheel when I press the rear washer. I suspect a pipe has come adrift there somewhere. What're the chances it will be almost impossible to get to it without taking half the rear end apart!!!! UBM
The pipe is inside the boot lid lining. It just pulls off (carefully) and clips back in. Mine stopped working for a while last week. No leak, just cold and blocked with crap...
DenisO
Got it sorted today. The pipework runs from the resvoir, nearside front, through the bulkhead and all the way along under the carpet to the rear seat pan where it crosses over to the offside, runs inside the rear quater panel and then up the C post to cross to the tailgate. Unbelieveably I had 2 leaks where the pipe had come off; 1 at the bulkhead inside the passenger footwell and one inside the rear quarter panel. I had to take out the passenger seat (suprisingly easy) to get under the carpets (suprisingly difficult) which were soaked. Having fixed that pipe I was still getting fluid dripping behind the offside rear wheel whenever I used the washers and that turned out to be the second leak where the pipe had become dislodged. Thankfully everything working fine now but if you want the nearside interior of your Audi stripped for any reason I'm yer man.
n_c
I've got a leak somewhere in the right side of the boot, I think from the rear wash wipe piping. Water drips down near the amplifier. Does anyone know (a) where the pipes go and (b) how to go about removing the trim to have a look. Hope someone can help!

RubberDuck182
I also have the same leak. My rear washer had been feable for some time and I thought it was maybe blocked. Last week the speakers died and Ifound smoke coming out of the Bose amp (I think - silver box) in the boot. Have been terrified that it will cost a fortune to replace however there seem to be quite a few on eBay. Seems like this washer issue is not uncommon.
