v8griff
Hi again guys. Further to the previous post asking for any info on the 190ps S line, I've managed to track down a quattro which I'm going to look at on saturday. As I'm intending to use this as my company car, what MPG (realistically) will I be looking at? I know it sounds mundane but its something I gotta check. In fact any further comments on this car would be most welcome! TIA. Cheers
Frodo
Okay well I just sold my A4 190 BHp Quattro to Eastbourne Audi. I was getting 28mpg on 95 RON and 29mpg on Optimax
Biscuits
the 1.8T engine is VERY flexible, not needing the nuts reved out of it to go reasonable quick 24/7. I know it's a lot smaller car, but in the Golf GTi 1.8T(150bhp) and thinking about it the old mans Passat Estate 1.8T (150bhp) an average of 30mpg is very easy and on long runs 38-40mpg. Changing to the S4 has increased my monthly fuel bill by 50% !
Frodo
Quattro has an impact as well it will take around 4mpg extra from looking at the figures.

Mine weighs 1545 kilos - heavy [/ QUOTE ] I thought the Avant was only 1520Kg!!! You've got a saloon, haven't you Chris? I'm getting the same figures - with a 237BHP Re-Map!!! The most you'll see on the DIS if you try hard (sub 65mph) is 36-40 mpg. BUB
the911sc
I must admit after my remap I am getting about the same or dare I say better MPG than I was before. The motorway work isnt any better but if you go 'b' roading then it is better (50-60 mph)
