Just like to say hello to all as I've been reading this forum since November and only posted once. Was notified of my build week today: week 10 for 3 door, DBP, Manual, Sunroof, Monte seats. This is my first R32 so can't wait! A big jump from a 1.4 Polo! Was told I'd get it about 4 weeks after the build week although they say there's a good chance that it may be sooner as previous R32s have arrived earlier than expected. Very impressed by this forum and have learned a lot. Thanks.

Yep was a DSG, I'm # 5 of 6 on the list, i emailed dealer last week, they said should be able to place order late Jan, I guess I should be contacting again? I'm in no rush, time to save up a bit, but I don't fancy waiting until the end of the year, I was originally told would be May / June delivery

I bunged my order in the start of nov, dsg too, think i was just lucky my dealership is a bit of a sleepy hollow, I didnt want it til march anyway, for the 06 plate, and it gave me time to get some cash together too. I'm advised it's now built, and sat waiting for the boat/ or shipping. So it will only be sat getting pissed on and frozen by manchester weather for 2 weeks max hopefully. I would poss advise ringing round other nearby dealers see if they have any earlier slots, just in case they tell you in June that it will be the end of the year. Don't trust 'em!! They want to keep your deposit in their bank account!!

I think smith knight fay group own the whole lot around manch area, mine is oldham and they put it through the main office (stockport i think) so they probably have more build slots as they are a bigger concern, I can only recommend ringing Stockport up and seeing what they say, can on ly tell you to go whistle at worst?

1 week ago they had 2 slots left at bradford cos i was in there having a leer at one the showroom, might be worth a look?

Welcome to the nut-house Mk5R32kgt - lets hope you stick with the MK5 R32 for a while, to save you having to change your TsN name... 169144-ok.gif
