CarMad
...on your next car. Or should I say what would like to improve or add. For me I miss the sound of a nice V or Straight 6. Current motor for just about everything else is great. More power on the roads these days seems to be a waste, I get frustrated not getting to use it all as it is. Its light, handles brilliantly and safelty... I just want the noise to make the hairs on the back of me neck stand on end when the motor is at full chat. So what about everyone else... where should car manufactures be going to make your car better for you next time.. economy ? Power... or what about a lighter car to help both. mccombie_5
A small cheap 1.0 or 1.1 runabout..... Rover 111. Eek.
NewNiceMrMe
V8, V10 or V12 No more V6's for me, unless it was the Twin Turbo unit of the Noble M400. I'd love a V12, but they seem to be going out of fashion a bit lately. There's only one thing I want that I don't already have, and that's HUD if it was available on the car. theduisbergkid
Actually, I want a knackered mr2 mk1 for use on the scumball rally (see linky below, yet another shameless plug), found a likely looking one already .....
CarMad
V12 ... nice. I'd fear the fuel bill. The main reason why a lot of car makers aren't doing them unfortunatley. The HUD is an interesting one, hadn't really had that one on my wish list I have to say. Great not to have to look outside of your field of vision thats for sure. garcon magnifique
Genuine real world performance and over 30mpg. And don't tell me you get that with a Golf GTI - I said genuine performance. I would like a great V8 soundtrack too, but I might have to forego that for the sake of economy. I keep looking at what's available that I should be able to afford next time and that meets these criteria. One current car stands out above all others. It has the best diesel engine in the world. One car due out this year might fit the bill, though I'm doubtful about its sporting pedigree and it'll probably be a bit pricey. That's a petrol hybrid. Great question by the way! P_G
Lightweight magensium alloys, carbon ceramic disks and more usage of carbon fibre and aluminium in panels to reduce weight of the car to compensate more my middle age spread and thus aid performance. I've got the V8 but perhaps a supercharger to go with it my be handy as well?

ChadW
If we built flats and houses properly here in this country then I would not have to move due to noise and thus would be aquiring a 2nd hand Audi S4, gotta get a V8 or some sort! But due to moving and actually being a bit better off for through cashing the endownment then I might go for an near new Astra Sportshatch SRi!
