Biscuits
Hi, Anyone have details on how to remove the glovebox on a B6 S4? I have a single slot 6CD changer, but nothing else. Want to hard install the gps antenna on top of the glovebox (below dash) for my MicroRoadPilot. Thanks
Biscuits
Just read the 'How to instal RNS-E SatNav' and it has an excellent section on dismantling your entire car !!!
danksy
Yeah its dead easy, there a few hex-bolts (6 IIRC) that need unscrewing, the glovebox just drops down then Careful with where you place the Antennae and also not to touch the passenger side Airbag
Chav
You'll need to remove your 6CD changer (assuming its glovebox mounted) to get to bolt 7 though!
the911sc
yup, and they're not hex but 7mm bolts. You will need a nut spinner or small socket set.
Biscuits
Thanks guys, followed your tips and got the glovebox out fine. Helped with running the cables for the uRoadPilot and gave me chance to see what I'll do with the Phatbox when it turns up next week. Didn't end up putting the GPS receiver under the dash, didn't find a good place, other than on top of the airbag metalwork... which I didn't think was sensible (big magnet). May change my mind, would prefer the receiver out of sight.
