simonv6golf
Hey I just got the new software insalled for the Eip turbo it just keeps getting better . I installed a 70 degree thermostat and a 3 position switch in the fans so I can manualy put the fans on whilst doing the first run at 0.40 bar the water temp went up to 112 degree but this tome it stayed steady at 90 . Got a fresh dyno yesterday and at 0.53 bar she pushed out 418 bhp

Daemon
EIP figures they're pretty much done. The only other thing they're working on is a "competition series" intercooler, that's larger. Oh, and they need to make a lower octane version of the software for folks who live in parts of the country that don't have high octane fuel. ian
simonv6golf
Might go for a haldex unit next and a set of wheel spacers I think the power is enough as it is and as for the intercooler I dont think the comp one is needed in our climate even on the rollers the intake temp stayed at 12 degrees
Mook
Get the Haldex upgrade as soon as you can Simon - it will change your life...
Dan32
Ok, everyone stop talking about the HaldexPP, I can't afford one at the mo. New tyres tomorrow! 418bhp is pretty awesome number. As much as 911 Turbo. How bad is the lag at that sort of boost? Take it you haven't driven it much as sounds like you've been worked hard on it. And you should have filmed the dyno run. Would love to have heard that. Perhaps you and Helfinger should get together and do some back to back filming/testing. Now that would be an awesome sight - 800bhp worth of R32s! Mook
Simon, what was the bhp reading at the wheels?
simonv6golf
I havent got the graph with me but i think it was 360 and there is no turbo lag at all bottom end is like stock due to not having to change the head gasket . and the turbo spools up very quick maybe about 2000 rpm and it is at idle @
Mook
If you could find out Simon, that would be great. If it was 360 at the wheels, the calcs used to work out the flywheel bhp are way out (too low!).
