hixster
Hi guys, I'm Reasonably new to the forum and maybe this has been covered before, but, I'm selling my car and getting it ready for sale. Does anyone have any useful hints for cleaning paintwork , where doors meet interior..hatchback/boot regions , door pillars , above the sills and surrounding trim. These areas are caked with dirt and I obviously can't get them wet without soaking the interior of the car. Guess I could cover the interior and mask to the door lining.. then use a dampish cloth. I'm just concerned about swirling the paint if I don't use enough liquid. Any advice much appreciated. Many thanks

badgera
Get something like simple Green Linky or a similar all purpose cleaner. Spray liberally perhaps agitate with a soft brush and then wipe down using old towels. That should get most of the dirt off. Most of the areas that your talking about are made to get wet so a low pressure hose off shouldn't soak the interior, but if you worried just use danmp towels. To make the shuts look realy good stick some sort of cleaner polish/sealant on for a finish (Klasse AIO)of maybe some Meg's NXT. Don't forget to re-grease any hinge areas. hixster
Thanks for the advice Andrew, seems like a good plan. Quite enjoy cleaning the car and don't want to neglect the parts that could be overlooked. I'll try out your suggestions and remember to re-grease , cheers :-)

hixster
Hey PPP, yeah directions would be cool, pm me man that'd be great. I know the Worplesdon road, guess directions from the start of that would be good, you know, after coming off the big roundabout/underpass by the A3?. What's their pricing like? How much for a full valet?? Thanks again
