Hello all,

My name is Phillip McDowell (Da Freak). I am coming from the good ole USA, Chesapeake Virginia to be exact. I currently serve in the US Navy and have been here for 18 years. I’ve have been a TT owner for 4 months and I have never had a car that creates so much attention. More than likely I am going to have to get another TT; I can’t seem to keep my wife out of mine. My baby, (my car not my wife) is a 2001 Nimbus Grey roadster with baseball optic leather inside and only 23,000 miles on the dial and she gorgeous,(my car not my wife). I had been looking for a TT for 6 months and when I seen this one for only $17,000 I had to jump on it. Most TT’s I seen not during my search went anywhere from 20,000 to 24,000. The only draw back was I had to fly from Virginia to Connecticut and drive back 11 hours. I don’t think Audi thought about comfort on long trips when they designed the TT. Now, this is only an opinion, but it’s my humble opinion that the better of the two (Roadster or coupe) is the TTR. There is nothing like driving down the road with the top down, everyone looking at your car mouthing to you how much they like it. Coupe owners, I’m sure there are a couple of people who like your cars as well. Well it’s nice to be on this web site talking with other TT owners, even you coupe owners (SMILE).

welcome.

I had a TT for 3.5 years and found long distance travel fine. In fact I toured for toured weeks at a time doing 6-10 hours driving everyday and I had no problems.

It's good to see the TTR vs TTC debate again. I had the better performing, faster and better looking version but if you prefer to pose then you've bought the right one wink.gif

Baseball leather's pretty cool.

Enjoy it!
