NunchukHamster
2000 Passat 1.8T Sport Estate, the rear wipe is fine, but the washer jet is u/s. I've cleared the nozzle, checked the water bottle is full, and there doesn't seem to be a "mysterious" wet patch in the boot from a leak at that end. I can here the pump so it's not the stalk control gone, and the front jets work so I guess the pump is ok. Anywhere else that is a common blockage/dis-connection point? Starting to get very bored of cleaning the window by hand every other day!
meriafel
Just a quick reply to show someone is listening! Isn't the washer pipe connector that comes adrift in one of the estate rear storage pockets and not in the 'boot'? Was once told that if you try and operate the rear washer when the rear nozzle is frozen you will blow this water-feed pipe joint. Check it out. Is the washer motor running when you operate the rear washer? Am sure Mulkbear and others will know the answer.
NunchukHamster
Yeah the motor is running, will go and investigate storage pocket. Cheers.
v23
Yeah, mine stopped working shortly after I bought the car. The hose had come undone inside the CD changer cubby and was squirting water all over it.
NunchukHamster
Seems to be dry in the cd changer storage. Any other offers?
meriafel
Can't helf further other than to add that mine was fixed under warranty and the water was in the jack/wheel brace space but most had disappeared beneath this plastic moulding. Make sure you have had a really good look as I was not aware of the problem as it was found at a service.
