Off to Amsterdam for a night for a (quiet) stag weekend. Unfortunately the fligts are very early Sat morning and coming back late Sun night.

So, bearing in mind I have to drive after I get back to the UK on the Sunday, what is there to do after we get turfed out of the hotel?

... and for that matter on Saturday when I can drink smile.gif

Not a lot to be honest. Drugs and sex is what Amsterdam is about for stags tbh unless you're into wandering around Ann Franks house or going to some art galleries.

I've been quite a few times now sekret.gif and the last time we went, we went on the seacat from Harwich.

Much better than the plane for future reference.

Tourism in Amsterdam is all about the museums, the drugs and the Red Light District. If none of those take your fancy, then you might as well stay away. I've been living in Amsterdam for 3 months now (coming home at the end of the week, woo hoo), and was finally able to get the GF over last weekend. Mostly we wandered around the shops, but also did the Heineken Experience (not bad for EUR10), a dinner cruise on the canals (crap food, not worth GBP60 each blush.gif) and a brief trip through the RLD.

I suppose if you're in to football you might be able to catch an Ajax match, although I don't know where you'd get the tickets from.

Found it dirty, run down and overpriced TBH ...

Quite dissapointing. I suppose I was expecting a cheap place packed with pubs and intermixed with some other stuff, a bit like Magaluf with "spice". Seemed to be more of a "city break" destination, rather than a holiday one.

Ah well, we had a laugh in any case!

Isn't that what any major city/town is like anywhere you go?
