saab
Not exactly high performance , but fairly interesting I think. Parked outside my gym near Colchester station - it looks American, but its actually a Vauxhall - a Cresta (?) I think - DVLA don't have anything on the reg number and all the RAC can come up with is that it is a red saloon car which last changed hands 31 May 2005 and has had 6 previous owners. And even less high performance was this lovely old ambulance I saw today outside my local. My investigations show it is a 1941 Austin 2.5 litre, first registered on 6 May 1959 (when it passed from military to civillian ownership?). simonb
The ambulance still has military plates. Thought they removed them once the vehicle left service!? Unless they're sneaky replica plates on the way to a show somewhere!!?
saab
Exactly what I thought as well - but when I had a closer look the number is actually just spaced out to look like military plates - JEB 925 made to look like JE 89
