shark_90
I have a 2001 B6 A4 and I wondered if I bought the lit vents from ebay.de, would there be anywhere to plug them into or would I have to tap a feed from another sidelight activated light? It would just finish off my interior
Nelson_R32
Your airvents will already have the inserts/LED's in place, its just a case of getting the relevant connectors/pins/feeds to them

shark_90
I've had the vents out to have a look.. the centre vent has the LED's pre wired with a socket on the vent itself. I'm sure there'll be a plug to fit it, so I'll need to get a prewired plug to fit it and tap a feed from somewhere. The driver's side vent also seems to be prewired, but the wire goes into the dash and seems to be connected/trapped somewhere as I can only just remove the vent fully and the wire is tight. Anyone got any ideas?
Mo-S3
The wire is tight because its locked into a holder that is attached to the plastic airpipe that is going to the vent. They need to be twisted from underneath.
shark_90
Ah yes, I've just traced it back with a torch on the passenger side and I can see it with the side of the glovebox removed. Now all I need to do is find the plugs, make up a wiring harness and find a feed. Any ideas on the feed at all? I've put that question in a separate thread
