Pincher
Took the family for a day out near Canterbury today and had the very great pleasure of seeing our revered leader, with new girlfriend in tow, taking in the pleasures of the fields of Kent. Apparently, he is only over for the weekend and flies back cattle-class tomorrow morning, much to his chagrin. He sends his apologies to all his old buddies (Lagoo, Mollox, Daz, Hopsta etc etc) but said that the airline lost his luggage and his mobile was in the case. In fact he's been wearing the same wooly jumper all weekend and TBH, he was starting to hum a bit. Anyway, for those who are interested, I took a pic of him (and missus), so you can see what a few years of good clean Australian-style living does to a man. Pincher
[ QUOTE ] Chri, did you have a good time? [/ QUOTE ] It was OK - thought Colchester was better from a 'spectator-friendly' perspective e.g elephants and giraffes are much easier to view at Colchester. Several enclosures didn't appear to have anything in them though and there weren't any notices advising of temporary closure Good kids park and the BBQ burgers smeled lovely (as I sat eating cheese & pickle sarnies ) The best bit was the gorillas though - we all stood there captivated (if you'll excuse the pun) for about 15 minutes, which for my two is no mean feat, as they have the attention span of a gnat. Nearly £40 to get in though (and Tom didn't have to pay) I'd give it 6 out of 10.
