winrya
Had the car serviced today and the dealer had a vw booklet on the desk which had prices for different after market accessories. A couple I noticed were cruise control fully fitted inc vat for £150 and the same price for the ipod kit. This was an official VW booklet so presume its the RRP for all VW dealers??? Matt R
It is indeed £150 inc Vat as RRP, I can vouch for that!
nhs
Hmm cheaper than factory option.... Does anyone know if the parking sensors can be cheaply retrofitted?
chriswastle
It is cheaper than the factory but not the same. the retro fit is on the wiper stalk set and reset. I the believe the factory fit is on the steering wheel and you can adjust the speed from there.
Matt R
Nope it is exactly the same as the factory option, you are thinking of the multi function steering wheel! Matt

At this rate, my next car will not be anything from VAG ...

RedRobin
Re reversing sensors, IIRC cost was about £160 and they are a VW approved product but only available in black. That included labour and my Road Angel was hardwired in the same session - All by my VW dealer.

vindaloo
My stealer quoted me £299 yesterday for Cruise & when I quoted the £150 inc Vat in VW pricing document he shrugged his shoulders & when he saw me fumimg, he dropped the price to £199, but I'm still pressing for £150. vindaloo
If you check the Toring Section of the on-line catalogue the price of the Cruise Control Pack is £150. The small print saya this includes VAT but excludes fitting unless stated & it doesn't. That's why the stealer told me it was £150 + fitting & he's doing me afavour at £199! skifly
vindaloo - not sure if you know but Matt_R works for a VW dealership in the SE. Not sure if it is sales or service though so guessing he may know his stuff! Am onsidering the cruise upgrade soon and may drop Matt a line - just need a break from booking my car in at the mo as it has to go back for alignment and a knocking since my steering rack was done. Hopefully they will fix it this time or else slappage may ensue...!
