tinka
just hyperthetical at the moment, ive got an oettinger remap at the moment, but im feeling left behind compared to the revo map ,could a revo dealer remove my oettinger program and then upload the revo one, at the moment i think im just over 170bhp,which will mean nothing when the new 170 tdi is on sale,at least the revo is nearer 200bhp. Paul
is the oettinger a serial remap or a soldered chip? if its the former, im sure Revo HQ could sort you out. Im not sure if their agents would be able to flash you to stock first, then remap it. I dont know if they carry the necessary original files. Drillslinger
I know the 8L Oettinger remap is a soldered chip... not sure about the 8P though, I "THINK" that early Oettinger 8P's were remapped using the chip, and now they're offering the Direct-Port
tinka
the ecu was removed, then the remap was e-mailed from oettinger in germany, and downloaded to the ecu,it didnt involve any soldering or removing of chips etc?.

tinka
its plugged into a jig, attached to the pc,which then downloads the new remap, like an upload but you have to take te ecu to the pc,rather then the pc to the car,if you see what i mean.
