PaulT
Hi... does anyone have any suggestions as to an alternative to the standard issue Goodyear Wrangler tyre for the 2.5 Tdi allroad? At £170 a piece and having had 6 (due to wear and tear/puncture/wall damage) I'd like to consider any alternatives.. thanks in advance... PaulAllroad
Depends what sort of mileage you want from them! I've always had Pirelli P6 Allroads on mine, and I can get them same day - usually - from a local tyre depot for about £125 per corner. BUT!! Best i've got is 15k from a pair and more usually 10-12k. Don't know how that compares with what you get, cause ive often toyed with the idea of changeing to something a bit longer lasting.

neilp
Not an alternative to the Wrangler's but you should be able to get them around £125 easily, both Kwik0fit and Blackcircles are doing them for that sort of price.
Biffa
I paid £86+VAT fitted for mine last month. Also from the research I did the Wranglers should last almost twice the pirelli's (I had pirellis on mine). The Wrangler are only standard issue in the US in Europe the allroad standard issue is the pirrelli
neilp
I need a set for the front and though £125 was a good price so i'll trawl through the independents tomorrow morning to try and get close to that sort of price! Might even have a drive out your way at the weekend for that sort of price

[/ QUOTE ] Doubt it, when I was out looking for mine I drove past a place that had that sort of promotion but it was only on "certain" (read ) tyres. Risky
Anyone who buys at quickfit needs there head testing, p6 allroad tyres £208 each +valve+ballance. I was quoted ~165 for P6s at my local place but Kwikfit are offering them at 122.40 (132.90 fitted). I'd rather use the local place but at the price I guess should go for the Pirellis rather than ~115 for Avons (2.7T is this case).
DavidJHS
I put some Goodyear Wrangler F1s on my Allroad. Very good in the recent snow and last much longer than the P6 Allroad. Thanks
