PaulT
Hi... does anyone have any suggestions as to an alternative to the standard issue Goodyear Wrangler tyre for the 2.5 Tdi allroad? At £170 a piece and having had 6 (due to wear and tear/puncture/wall damage) I'd like to consider any alternatives.. thanks in advance...
Biffa
Er.. where abouts are you? £170 a piece is not a good price to pay. Haggle haggle haggle. I paid £86+VAT fitted for mine. See attached invoice. The only "proper" options are the Pirelli P6 Allroad, but its wear rate is twice the Goodyear. Its also more expensive than the Goodyear. There are other tyres that are the same size and although they are not the "reccomended" Allroad tyre would probably just about do, but they were either as expensive as the Pirelli or more expensive. 225 55 R17 W is the type if I remember correctly
PaulT
Thanks... I did try several suppliers but they were all in the same bracket.. perhaps there's a "cartel" here (North Staffs / Cheshire border)... looks like I should have shopped around a lot more ! mudmad
Micheldever Tyres fitted mine for £75+vat. The Wranglers were far better than the Pirrelli's, the P's gave a harsher ride in my opinion.
