KEVINP
At least we all made a good choice here. My dealer said they had a 3 door silver with full leather list around 25K and sold it in two days for 30K The one on Autotrader also does not have SATNAV . Possibly you could get 32K for one with SAT NAV.
jeremyadamson
Hey Guys....I hate to rain on your respective parades, but don't expect to make any profits (or break even) on your cars unless you sell them this side of 2004.....Yes there are R32's listed for £30,000...but there are also about thirty of them currently listed on Autotrader for well under £26,000, with various options (and some new import ones among them)....why would anyone pay £30,000?? What people ask and what they get for their cars are likely to be entirely different. Yes, occasionally somebody with more money than sense will pay over the odds.....let's face it - as nice as the R32 is (and I'm really looking forward to mine :-)), it's still a VW Golf.....and there's no way that any Golf is worth £30000....Satnav or not. As I've said before, paying £2500 for Satnav is madness....it just means that when the value does start dropping, you've immediately lost the natural depreciation of the car, plus all the money you spent on Satnav (which is 10% of the cars new value....)! The only benefit it gives you is that, at the time of resale out of two identical cars, the one with more options will sell first. And just maybe for a few hundred quid more.....have a top weekend folkes.....J.
MIKVW
Joke price, but there might be a sucker out there. The extras lose their value as soon as you drive out of the showroom. As for the 'exclusivity', nearly new R32's are available at more sensible prices. New ones are available with reasonable delivery from main dealers if you're prepared to ring around e.g. I know someone who paid a deposit last Thursday for a blue one with a build week end August, delivery mid-September.
