petsy
I have got some liquid leather conditioner for the seats. how do I apply it as it's not clear to me from the instructions on the side of the bottle? do I put some onto a soft cloth and just wipe it on? techieboy
Yep, as easy as that. Just don't put too much on. A good thin layer is all you need. I put mine on with a foam applicator pad to get a nice even coat on, leave it for an hour to be absorbed and you're done. Then sit back and enjoy the smell. I usually only do it twice a year, before and after summer when the sun has done it's worst.
Paddy_Driver
Hi Petsy, Where did you pick up the liquid leather from? Have looked around for it over here in Ireland but no luck. Is it just one bottle or does it come in a kit? Thanks Paddy
techieboy
I buy mine direct from Gliptone the manufacturer. Can be ordered from their website at Liquid Leather. It just comes as a single bottle unless you also order the cleaner as well. Cheers, Matthew
Paddy_Driver
Thanks, just went on and they ship to Ireland, but their ordering site it down I am on an online shopping buzz this morning so it would have been the ideal moment, these buzzes generally last the day - must be to do with pay day last week

Paddy_Driver
Hi Petsy, that i'll be nice... Gonna try it out on my 3 year old Volvo first, not sure the GTI needs it just yet... Although.. whats the norm? Do ye apply conditioner etc early in the car's life or is it for later application
petsy
not sure of the "correct" answer but I did use it on my week old car. My feeling is that early and regular applications will minimise sagging later on. I didn't bother using leather cleaner at this early stage as IMO it wasn't necessary. Paddy_Driver
Thanks Petsy, So its conditioner on the GTI and then cleaner and conditioner on the Volvo Will have to treat them well as the ride on a saggy old one ain't the best Regards Paddy
