rball
Hey all! I've got a 2000 210 S3 and I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust. I'm after one with a low, throaty sort of noise, nothing over the top though! Any suggestions?
shark_90
I have no experience will Milltek exhausts on an S3, but I have just had one fitted (cat back) on my A4 1.8T and I'm very happy with it. Nice, throaty burble, but not loud and over the top.
rball
That's what I was thinking of to be honest. Did you purchase it from AMD?
shark_90
Yep. Fitting was top notch, done while I waited. Very pleased with it.
ChriS3
Supersprint fit the S3 very well. Not too loud, but deeper and better!
rball
Shark...assume it's this one (although A4 version for you) that you're on about? Milltek Audi S3 98- CAT Back exhaust system (Quiet) or it it the loud version?
shark_90
Yeah that'll be the one - there are two choices. One with a resonator (quiet) and one without. I do lots of miles so it was important that it wasn't too loud from in the cabin. Still sounds mint from the outside though! IMO the pickup and low down torque is improved too. rball
I would be the same. I spend a lot of time in the car and although I'm sure the loud one sounds great, it may get a bit much after a while! Cheers for the advice though! Will be ringing up AMD soon! Dallan
Check out what Powerflow can do for you..... There will probably be a fitting specialist near you.. and they build them to your requirements. Have had two fitted to A3s in recent years ..... Good stuff! and will not empty your wallet! D
lottiefox
I've got a Blueflame on the TT. Its getting lower and throatier each week, about 6 weeks on now.
