bells0
Mine already had a Bluetooth 1 in - is a Nokia CK-7W?? Got them to take out the holder, so i can just have it working via btooth in my pocket. Just a small button underneath my steering wheel and a microphone at the top of the A pillar. Works great with my Sony/Eric K750, mutes stereo and is amplified through the speakers.
rjgreen4
I had the parrot 3100 hands free kit that connected via bluetooth, I have since changed my car and it came with the Audi GSM kit, linked through my RNS-E, I recon is the best combination - thanks to CraigyB
bearra
Agree, drop Craig a line see how much he can put one in for, you don't have to have the RNS-E but the phone functions are really good on it
Phantom
I have the Parrot 3200 colour version in my cab, superb piece of kit and easily integrates into the symphony. Will be tranferring this into my new cab. No problem syncing multiple phones to it if required, however for some reason I cannot get my Blackberry 7100v address book to sync across

Soapsuds
no photos sorry - i am going away for a long weekend tomorrow, or would have posted some, ut dont have time.... I got the vent kit thrown in with mine (some do, some dont!!) and clipped it securley to the drivers side vent. Cable pipes under the trim nicely and down under the dash (via the removable fuse-cover sde panel) so no cables visible. V easy to use with your right hand and easy to see with a quick glance to the right of the steering wheel for caller ID etc. I use the voice recognition on it most, so totally hands free! Phantom
I know the 3200 has a different fitting, but mine is fitted over the driver's airvent, (doesn't really affect the airflow from the vent). It is easy to reach and high enough so that it doesn't distract you too much while driving. The only problem I have is the microphone , it has a sticky back to it which keeps coming off, I was wondering if you could link the parrot with the microphone in the overhead light cluster in front of the rear view mirror ? bearra
Craigyb is a guy on here who has done many aftermarket installs. RNS-E is the SatNav Plus system. Send a PM to CraigyB from 'My Home' on the menu

Or does it do more?

Phantom
Sorry yes, there is a special audi / parrot connector that connects to the back of the symphony unit to mute the radio etc and use the car speakers (including BOSE) for calls. nordberg
I don't suppose there's anyway of using the multi-function steering controls to control the Parrot is there?
Phantom
I think the parrot is voice controlled as well, cannot confirm as I haven't used this facility. Not sure about the steering wheel controls as the Parrot's volume is controlled on the unit itself. Have to say it would be handy to use the steering wheel controls in some way. Soapsuds
99.9% sure the parrot doesnt support steering wheel controls. It is voice activated. You press the dial button once and speak the name - it dials. You can also do it by seting up keywords, to call without pressing the dial button and hang up / divert all without pressing buttons. If you have a mobile / work / home number assigned to the contact, you can also use voice commands to dial a specific number - e.g. "Call Mum Work"

nordberg
Are there any aftermarket kits that can work with the steering wheel controls? Or is it possible to buy the Audi kit and fit it yourself?
