EbonyA3
I own a 2001 (facelift) a3 without front foglights fitted ,quite rare prob. Today one of the lower grill came out slightly , so i went to push it back in and realised there is some wireing behind for foglights, Does anyone know if i can just buy some new lower grills with foglights integrated .Any Ideas , if anyone come across this
Drillslinger
Not sure... but if yours looks like this... Then all you'll need to do is plug the Foglight in and screw the housing.... ... in and you'll be good to go. You WILL need a new "Grill" with the cutout for the Fog... PocketRocket
Interesting...I never saw what was behind fog lights...Its the intercooler! So if you remove fogs you could gain some Hps in hot days...
Drillslinger
Yup, that's the theory Problem is... that big hole is just BEGGING for a stone to come in a knock a hole in the IC (Which is why I rarely run w/out Fog )
PocketRocket
Oh yep... but maybe a small grill could prevent, the same as FMICs
Drillslinger
Well, the grill pieces for models with and without fogs are interchangeable, so for around €10 or so you could get a non-fog grill and snap it in
