crasher
Just a quick note on my brake upgrade of joy... My S8 was in at APS yesterday, having the old Porsche kit removed and a spanking new MOV-IT front brake kit installed. Arranging the install had been a bit problematic, as we had to await the parts to come in from germany. I'd originally wanted the install to be done during the easter week as i was going to be on holiday so would not need to take any more time off work (self employed types will know what i'm on about here). As it happens, the parts didnt arrive until last week, by which time i was back earning my bread. No worries, Ed said i could borrow HIS car for the day whilst they did the install - superb! Got to APS about 8ish, swapped keys with Ed and drove off to work in warwick. Got a call about 1:30 to say it was all done and dusted. So took a late lunch and headed back down to banbury (stopping only to fill up Ed's car ) Ed had shown me the parts before install - they are some of the largest discs i've ever seen - almost 400 mil in diameter!! The calipers are 6-pot 2-part affairs, fully assembled with pads. A joy to behold, and thats before they were fitted. Fitted, they are simply awesome - i will post some pics at the weekend. What can i add - The guys at APS have done an excellent job, and are a credit to their profession. Ed should get a gold star for being a superb front man for them, and a special pat on the back for lending me his car for the day. Top marks to then, can thoroughly reccommend them to all. They deserve to prosper.

crasher
No, i had the run of has A2 diesel. First time i've ever driven one - wasnt too bad, but i struggled to get used to a manual box Was glad to get back in the 8 again
Mook
Great car the A2 diesel, if a bit sluggish. The 3 cylinder diesel makes it sound kinda like the original Audi 5 cylinder petrol. If you close your eyes. Maybe

_Tone_
Guys Thanks for the tip on APS - They are just 15 mins along A43 from me which is great so I have booked my car in for some work and will get the A3 cruise controlled as well! I have been emailing Ed who has been great. Thanks for the tip! Tone
ChrisBuer
I'm due at APS this Friday (23rd). After speaking with Ed I can agree with the comments here. He's extremely helpful, knowledgeable and always has time for you. Looking forward to getting down there and having my Milltek put on
lottiefox
They'll do a great job on the Milltek Chris, my Blueflame is superb and they've also fitted a Neuspeed short shifter and relocated and upgraded the DV along with some funky blue turbo hoses. Good service and excellent hourly rate.
_Tone_
Went into APS today and met with Ed and had some basic maintenance on my Golf. He is a really decent chap and I will certainly recommend them and will be taking the A3 in for a cruise control upgrade. I may look at a remap but have to tackle direct line and other half! ChrisBuer
Forgot to add a response on this thread. APS fitted my Milltek exhaust and what can I say, absolutely fantastic service! Ed (their front man) was extremely helpful and really enthusiastic about the company. I can't say enough good words about APS and I'll definitely be visiting them again soon! P_G
Lottie, could you ask them whilst you are there if they would remap a B6 S4 and whether they have some figures / graphs handy of the gains? Would do myself but I'm up to my eyes at work and have just enough time to read TSN on an evening, otherwise it'll be next year before I get around to getting an answer.
