Just thought that i would let you guys that i will not now be taking delviery of any RS4 model.

I have decided to take another brand instead.. some of you know, but for the moment, until i have found the right car i'll leave you all guessing.

I've loved my time with Audi and am sure i will be back. Got great memories of the quick stuff , as i've spent around 10 years with the brand but i've found something i've been missing... ? laugh.gif

How intriguing. I assume it has to be something that either matches or surpasses RS4 performance but guess that it will not be brand new if you are looking around for the right one. Are we looking at something 911-like?

Or even something more radical:

I got taken around the Nurburgring in a Gt3 and it was the first time that a porsche has completly blown me away!!

The whole package is just unbelivable.. the engine, the power delivery, the loose tail, the noise, the rev limit, the bucket seats.. just amazing...

and even better, got it past the wife.. but i want the right car, so the search begins.

Woops.. probably a 996, i would love to go with a 997 but there is the waiting list, price and buying brand new.

I'd be happy with a 996. There are many good examples out there and with the new GT3 comming out there is a downward pressure on price, so i think i'll go with that.

And, although the new GT3 is more powerful , it also has a lot of things i would never use, like adjustable springs and PASM. I think i would prefer it raw.

Little bit too long in the tooth that one..

would ideally like one with around 10,000 miles, around 18 months to two years old.. red clubsport!

(Do you think i'm picky enough??) grin.gif

Mate im being exactly the same, you have to be picky... I go as far as giving the alcantara a wearing rating out of 10! grin.gif

Its worth asking Roland at Hudsons of London, I noticed he had an 06 yellow one out back... It looked fantastic, and is the colour id go for 169144-ok.gif

Porsche dealer on the Coventry Road in Coventry had one a few weeks back, not sure about the milage but it was red and had a 55 plate.

Don't know the name of the dealer but if you can't find it out I can drop out that way tomorrow and find out if you want as it's only 20 or so miles away.
