Johnski
I've been looking at changing the wheels on my car but i cant decide on which to go for... 1) Do i get 18's or 19's? 2) What style do i go for? I've narrowed it down to 18inch new Rs4 wheels which i saw on an Rs4 yesterday....I think they look lovely but i'm concerned incase a 35mm lower suspension set up wont be enough to compliment these wheels... http://www.rochfordtyres.co.uk/product.a...=&PT_ID=117 This is why i'm thinking of going one step up to 19's.. I like the rs007's, although i'm concerned these will look too big and obviously affect the performance being a heavier wheel.... http://www.rochfordtyres.co.uk/product.a...=&PT_ID=117 I'd appreciate advice from those who have upgraded from OEM to a different wheel.... Chelsea Mick
Johnski I think 18" is big enough really. I had 19's on my S3 for a while and I didn't find the ride very comfortable at all. I had 215/35 rubber which didn't leave a lot of distance between road and alloy. On the setup I had at the time it was quite bone shaking. If you are thinking of lowering -35mm, this would be just about right for 18" alloys. Another thing to consider is that with 19" aloys, the brakes look really tiny inside them, unless you get the bigger discs. As for the style of the wheel, at the end of the day it's your own individual choice or preference. Would like to see what the new style RS4 alloys look like on the S3. tinka
i dont think the 19's will reduce the gap between the arch that much either,i think with the 35 profile of the tyre wall, they wont be much bigger than 18's with 40,profile tyres,if you see what i mean,(its to do with rolling circumference) im probably not expaning it very well though, with the roads as they are,40's is probably the lowest i would want to go. Johnski
So would i but i think the new RS4 wheels may become the old RS4 wheels if you know what i mean, i.e they may become a common site in a few months.... Good point about the profile of the tyres as the roads over here arent in the best of condition in certain places and i dont want to have to fix an alloy every week.. I know its down to personal choice but i prefer the multispoke look with both wheels that i've linked there....

audisport
If i were you i would get the RS007s, just not sure what the RS4 wheel would look like on the S3. As for size i'd go for 18s as 19s would look a bit big on the car.
Johnski
The rs007's only come in 19's
