djcool
[ QUOTE ] Now that would be fun; the 2.0D is OK as it has 6 gears. 226bhp would be a giggle ! [/ QUOTE ] Ooh yes. Mine is due to be upgraded to 210bhp and 475NM next month (from its current 195bhp / 420NM tune), but thats the limit for mine as its the earlier D5 (163) and not the new Euro IV 185bhp lump. I really wish mine had a 6-Speed box. The Peugeot 407 HDi's I always use in France are 136bhp with a 6-Speed and feel very nippy too. Must admit I haven't tried the 2.0D V50! Johna1
Hi Gents, My Dad had a S60 2.0T (180bhp)SE with every option form new in 2002 and we had it three years and it was a great car. Did a 168 thousand miles but was knackerd when its lease was up, infact it failed its mot. I think the S60 is a handsome car especialy the facelift one with body coloured side mouldings etc. I Also think the All New S80 is a stunner

And the new V70 (design due to be finished late this year) will be based on the Mondeo, so that will handle well too ... Sorry, sounding like an advert now, I just like these cars a lot. theduisbergkid
[ QUOTE ] Never liked volvo's ... sorry to anybody that drives one! [/ QUOTE ] I never cared much for 1 litre Lupos, and 1.8 Vectras myself !
Thorburn
I don't really think anything when I see a Volvo :s Much like when I pass say a Saub or a Vauxhall, there is just a big lump of generic car, no major impression registers.
Soapsuds
i must say i have seen an increasingly large amount of twat5 on the motorway sitting up peoples arses and generally trying to get somewhere faster than everyone else in their Volvo. (mind you, having thought about that, it's the case of most marques now!!!). I think they have made an effort to get into the Lease market, so a good handful of reps have them now. Our company used to be Volvo-only for its company cars until recently. I have driven most models and i don't get on with them at all. Just not my cup of tea. [/ QUOTE ]] Yes, you're right about the company market, the firm my dad works for has a few V70s and S80s for the gaffers and a new S40 that everyone and their granny uses. These replaced a previously Vauxhall Omega/Vectra fleet (02).. Dad was over here in the Volvo S40 last night and it's actually a very nice car, even the base model!
