How far out is the Q7 sold?

I managed to sell a mk 1 Cavalier for a profit once... tongue.gif

Re the Q7, the only thing I'm reasonably sure of is that I don't like it. As to how well it'll sell, and what depreciation will be like, I have absolutely no idea. It could well be better than the X5 and ML but it has a hell of alot of ground to catch up, especially with the RR Sport muscling in on the market too.

How strong is the order book for this really?

Well, I was told that if I wanted one, it would probably not arrive until early '07 if ordered in April this year.

However, that might have been a ploy to get me to order an S8... wink.gif

I think there are loads of `cancelled` orders out there my local dealer had two- I dont think its selling that well cause it`s just too big... really a vehicle for the american market made big cause the ML/Q5/GL are getting bigger, ours will be the Q5. Unless of course u need the 7 seats.

Does any one own one ...pls tell us why u bought it and what u think of it without the hype.. I was seriously interested until I saw one... great car but too big and I thought the interior was not up the Audi standard.... not as nice as my A3 S-Line. Land Rover sport much more special inside... however ordered a Merc CLS... what do I know!!!!!!!

Yes, I get the impression there's a lot of those orders that have been cancelled. The size might put some off, as might the recent media hoo-hah about "Gas guzzling urban 4x4s". It would be interesting to see how Range Rover and the like have faired recently; I know Range Rover V8 Vogue residuals are looking pretty shocking at the moment.

I nearly bought a Q7, I really liked it having driven one on tarmac and desert sand, but it needs the 4.2 TDI engine because if you're going to be vilified by the public for driving your huge gas guzzler, you might as well have the performance to match! grin.gif

Either that, or Audi need to get the hybrid into production and hype it a lot as a hybrid, so that eco-warriors stop egging or keying them.
