Ari
Yeah it was great. Just a shame the sun wasn't out. It was sunny all day but I was working. The minute we got to the boat it went grey, typical!

Ari
Thanks chaps. Only just got into this video editing lark, and that was my second attempt so quite pleased with it. Out of interest, what size does it default to when you view it? (There's a little box with choice of sizes under the viewing pane). It should hopefully default to 480. Jon
It did indeed default to 480 Jon.

Ari
Nah, any higher and it induces cavitation. She's just about perfect like that. Look at my Av pic (taken the same time), thats a well trimmed boat.

Bear in mind also that I had to keep it trimmed in fairly tight for the hard turns.

Ari
[ QUOTE ] Hey Nick!!.. Great vid!!.. which boat were you out with?? What's the spec of your boat.. it's shifts [/ QUOTE ] We were out with a Princess V42 that belongs to a friend of mine. Danksy and John_Carter were on the V42 with the owner taking photos and video (we'd been photographing and filming his just before), and Smitters was hanging on for grim death on mine with me! My boat is a 21ft Monterey with a Mercruiser 4.3 litre V6 MPI, 220hp. I've seen 50mph on the speedo (there's a post of it on this board somewhere, entitled "V-max" I think), but that was when it was totally clean underneath and flat calm, only me on board. Reliably it's doing 45mph flat out on the speedo now (about 40 knots), and I cruise at about 35mph which is covering ground. This was the "photo boat".
