kaj030201 Posted August 10, 2003 Report Share Posted August 10, 2003 i got some replacement bulbs for my 1999 a4 1.8 turbo. how can i replace them? i don't have an owners manual. any way i can get some detailed instuctions? there seems to be a torx screw holding the light fixture in place that i cannot get to. what can i do????? simmolee Posted August 13, 2003 Report Share Posted August 13, 2003 There are 4 torx 30 bolts that need undoing. You have to move a pipe to one side to access one bolt and take the power steering reservoir cover off if its the off side to access the other (5 second job). If its the nearside you need to take the air intake duct off (2 small screws and 30 seconds). Then remove the wiring loom by prising the clip off. I am a complete novice regarding car maintenance but it took me less than 5 mins to do this and saved me £27 the stealer wanted for changing a bulb.
