aussie_WAITING
Wondering if anyone has had this same problem and if so if you know how to fix ... first attempt at washing windows and headlights the little plastic piece covering the xenon washing system just fell off, luckily i wasn't driving at the time, after a lot of persuasion i managed to get it to click back on but it didn't feel like i was putting it on the way it was meant to (it was resisting far too much to be the normal way to apply them) anyway, today i tried it again and again it popped off. does anyone know how to put them on? Probably going to take it to service tomorrow morning to have a look at. cheers james
mikemod
I had a loose one when I got the car. The dealer ordered a new one but the colour match was not good. The way he removed and replaced it was to get someone to activate the washers and then grap the little arm, when it is extended, to prevent it from returning. While holding the arm you can easily remove and replace the cover. I ended up getting the old one back off him and using a hairdryer adjusted the little clips on the sides of the cover so they were closer together. Using the technique above I replaced the new one with the original and now it is perfect and no problems in 9 months..

mikemod
good luck, you can remove the backing plate from the painted bit in case the heat affects the paint. by the way you will get wet when trying to grap the arm but at least it should be nice and warm down there
aussie_WAITING
hey mike!! after a lot of back and fourth (hair dryer and then back to car) it seems to have worked! Thanks tons, you saved me an early start this morning to go to the dealer and i doubt they'd have a fix other than ordering a new part. thanks again - take it easy.
