Hudson
I have a 1999 A6 with 205/55/16 alloys and tyres.... i need two new ones on the front (tyres that is) and given the alloys are showing signs of corrosion etc i thought of getting them refurbed. After further thought i am now looking at replacing all 4 with new alloys and tyres .... well used Ebay alloys and tyres It would cost me about £130 for two new boots on the front and about £200 to refurb the alloys... not much less than some 17'' Audi alloys and tyres which recently went on Ebay. But will the ones that just went on ebay fit my car without causing me issues with turning etc. The size of the ones that just went were 235/45/17, the offset on my alloys is 42 and the 17'' 's are 45.... will this be ok ? I know the stud pattern is fine for both. I am tempted as getting a little bigger than 16'' would help me with ease of cleaning, any advise much appreciated.
