Mook
Linked to from www.circuit-days.co.uk for their "Nurburgring 700" event later this year. Two Americans spewing constantly about the guys in the Porkas taking completely the wrong lines and giving commentary all the way through. Gets a bit sickening after a while and I felt like punching the screen once or twice... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5670400535859279046
Thorburn
"Apex 3 on the outside" Thats not really an apex then is it.....
billy2shots
cringeworthy. "We are doing 155mph.... aproaching 150mph.....thats 145mph". Make uo your mind, you are in the "superior" car. Funny.
Sponge
If I watch it again will they crash and die? Please, tell me they crash and die.
rs32
can be summed up nicely by a series of "cock-monkey" related comments. I think one of them prolapsed when the big oversteer happens - squealing like a little child bit of a shame as he knows the corners but drives like a cock-monkey whilst all the time criticising other peoples' driving abilities
Mook
Does that sound like another short-a*sed American who goes by the same name as his pop with an extra "W" and reckons he is right to over-rule the house of representatives and congress (all of whom are elected by the people of the country) on something he feels like he should because he can..? Or is that a bit of a political stab?

Or is that a bit of a political stab? [/ QUOTE ] It's more of a political axe to the back of his head. While he's reading 'The Cat in The Hat'. Oh dear, barely 50 seconds in and he says 'Yee Haaa!' Love the bit where he gets along side to overtake, but the 911 pulls away

Scotty
That was hilarious! [ QUOTE ] "Apex 3 on the outside" Thats not really an apex then is it..... [/ QUOTE ] That bends commonly known as "Miss, Hit, Miss". If you drove it bend by bend then it would be an apex but if you take the correct line through the sequence then you do indeed take the 3rd apex towards the outside. They were still knobs though! robin09
I wonder what the lap time would have been had they filmed the whole thing. There was about 7mins 30secs of footage. Add say another 1min 30secs for the opening section? The lap time wouldn't then seem as impressive as the passenger makes out.
Mook
Robin, you're assuming the tw*ts would know how to use a stopwatch.
R32Ash
I can't think I've ever said this and meant it before, but I really wish they'd crashed that M5. Okay, so I wouldn't want them badly hurt or anything, but they could have at least wiped out a couple of hundred yards of Armco, just in time for the Porsche drivers to watch from a safe distance. Scotty
The legend appears to be a writer and producer for Roundel (the magazine for the BMW Car Club of America.) I've also fond a link which is from April this year where is says (for BMW club San Diego) "Our new Chief Instructor will be Dan Tackett." Also "Dan Tackett led a discussion brought to the boards' attention regarding the possibility of our past election having been run incorrectly." Sounds like a fun guy. Also found this : BMW CCA Nürburgring School Co-ordinator I can't help but feeling he must be embarrassed by the video!
Sponge
Assuming a LHD car and it was this "Dan" guy driving, the load-mouth, annoying as fook, I wish you would die, yank was doing the filming from the (RHS) passenger seat. On several occasions I swear, going by the tone of his voice, Dan thought the guy on his right was a ****er too.
