holden
Wayside Audi in Milton Keynes seem to have messed up the lift mechanism on my roof box at its service a few weeks ago, but won't accept responsibility (which is in another thread). The roof works fine but the lever in the boot that lowers/lifts the box just swings free; as though a cable behind the lever has come loose. Any ideas, or recommendations about non-franchise Audi experts in the area? Thanks.
Phantom
Had the same issue on my old cab, had the stowage box replaced under warranty. I wasn't happy with customer service at Wayside MK which is why I ordered my current cab from Listers Coventry May be worth taking a look under the box itself to see if any of the cables have come off their pulley wheels

Big_Dan
We use Bedford Audi - and I can't fault them yet, They'll pick up from MK too. Give 'em a call.

[/ QUOTE ] Mine did that a while back - not from over use mind! As far as I know it's a common problem and my friendly local dealer fixed it under warranty. Thanks guys! holden
Thanks for your feedback. I'm about six months out of Audi warranty (I now use Warranty Direct and they won't touch it) and Wayside want to replace the entire box (Cost: £513 inc labour!) rather than try and fix it. They had assumed it was a warranty issue so I think hadn't bothered to think about a repair. If I can't fix the box and can't use the boot space maybe I will need the roof box in the pictures!
