RobK
I know this used to be a common problem on one of the older models, I think the B5 A4, but the washer bottle in my A3 seems to have sprung a leak! Filled it up yesterday only to have most of the screenwash leak onto the drive. Anyone had one of these replaced on an A3, and is it likely to be a warranty job? ctnw27200
Don't know what year you A3 is, but mine's on an 04 plate and it went in last week to get checked out as the washer bottle leaked. They told me the pipe had come loose, although it took them over an hour to fix! Was carried out under warranty. Chris
S3ENVY
I think they have to take the wheel off and the arch liner out to get to the bottle properly, maybe I'm wrong!?!
RobK
Thanks for the info, guys. Mine's an 04 as well. It does look like it would be pretty hard to get to!
RobK
Well I don't know if the screenwash leak has affected something else, but for the last couple of days my EPC warning light has been coming on intermittently. Also when I was on the way home yesterday I noticed that the aircon was in "econ" mode. When I pressed the button to turn econ mode off, it came straight back on again! I had to stop and turn the engine off and on to get the light to go off. Car is booked in for Monday so I'll mention it then. I suspect they'll come back with "no fault found" though. RobK
Anyone know what a manifold flap motor does? Apparently it was the cause of my warning light!
DHA
Operates the flap in the manifold?
