pugboy
For you guys that have 16" rims. If you need new tyres check out this website first: http://www.mytyres.co.uk/start.html A few months back I got some Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's for £64 each which seemed like a bargain as they are usually double that at most tyre outlets. Anyway after the recent torrential rain I decided to invest in a pair for the front as well. Just checked the website and they are now £58! Needless to say I have ordered a pair. When I had my last pair fitted the guy commented that they would retail those tyres at £130 each normally! We have a very cheap local tyre place here in Stafford and even they couldn't do them for less than £100. Just letting you guys know as they are right up there as some of the best tyres on the market and that is a massive saving.

pugboy
Fair enough. Its just for the most part the forums dont seem to be as clued up as the 205GTidrivers forum that I frequented for years. No offence meant by that, but I guess its just the nature of the beast as we are mostly talking about newer motors on here. Anyway it was also a heads up as the F1's are the cheapest I have ever seen them on mytyres at the moment so worthwhile buying.

[/ QUOTE ] Aye, I got F1s for the vRS, but used MyTyres prices as a haggling point with BlackCircles, who also offer a fittinmg service at your nearest fitter. Generally they're a bit dearer, but they're open to some haggling, and so getting tyres from BC means you don't have to find someone to fit them. In general tho I buy from MyTyres, cheapest around. pugboy
Didn't realise you could haggle with black circles. Nearest fitting place for them is about 8 miles away though. I pay about £15 a pair for fitting normally.

My last of tyres were from BC. I simply said that I could get the at X price per corner plus £10 fitting (ea) and if they could match that they'd have my business..... saved approx £15 per tyre! I'll pass on the info and thanks
R32North
And just in case anyone was wondering if there's anything iffy about the tyres from this comapny..... nowt to worry about. DeltaCom buy / ship direct from Europe so they cut out the KwikFits of this world who make mint off the UK rubber.
pugboy
Had then fitted now (tenner the pair) and the car drives lovely (well good for a big old barge anyway)! It feels sharper in the dry with more steering feel. I'm sure it will feel much safer in the wet (which is the main thing).
sotty
I need a pair of new 15" fronts for my Golf, I have never used the online places, but from what youre saying above it looks a good deal. Ive been having Goodyear NCT5's at £55 each from a local place in Stoke. I may as well spend a little more and get far better tyres
