S3ENVY
It's not all bad I guess, at least I've got warranty and not paying for anything...... ......The cars ESP light came on today and wouldn't go off until I cut the ignition and started it up again. Vagged it when home and it's given me this in the ABS module: 00812 - Brake Pressure Release Solenoid (F84) Intermittent Please don't tell me this is anywhere near my brake pedal and the dash trim has to come out again......I'll cry if it does. sufu
I think you'll be needing the wisdom of Paul-S3 on this one, might be worth asking this in the Vag-Com forum too

Alastair_A3
I think you need to chop that S3 in for something else
shark_90
I would imagine that's nowhere near the brake pedal, it sounds more like a mechanical brake part to me. Still, better to get it looked at sooner rather than later.
Motormouth
Mine did the same, but by the time I was going to get it looked at the ESP light stopped comming on. People made comments to me that the ESP light can come on for many none ESP related probs, however I read some times the ESP sensors x 2 can go wrong leading to this problem. Mine stopped doing it after I adjusted the stearing wheel (pulled in out and up a bit, then back to original position), one of the sensors is located around that area. Paul
Was indeed in bed and fast in the land of getting up at 5am to be at work for 6 sorts that out. cant be muich help on this one. Its a new fault on me, not heard of that one before, and have no idea where to even find it. I have very little to do with my brakes, past cleaning and pads etc, i leave that to the mechanics. S3ENVY
[ QUOTE ] isnt "sporadic" one of Audi's favourite words? [/ QUOTE ] Yup, apparently when the word "sporadic" is used by dealers, it means there's infact nothing wrong with your car and ignoring the fault will make it go away. iceman2002_uk
lmfao, i like it! they used sporadic with me quite a bit when i suggested the car was misfiring (i had seen this) now 7 months on, they've tracked the misfire back to the engine wiring loom(they think) i'm still thinking its the dual mass flywheel!
