If its in 2 parts I guess you could, but I remember when doing exhausts on MKIV R32s, that it was one piece, even tho Milteks, etc were two piece.

If you're planning on putting it back on come sale time, and it is a one piece, cut it in 1/2 and then get a VW clamp to join it back together when refitting.

A Warm Welcome to TSN, Fizzle - Don't take any notice of these feckers teasing me! To answer your question:

If you put both your rear seats down you'll just be able to fit the whole OEM standard exhaust diagonally. It's a good idea to protect your car interior by wrapping ends with cloth etc.

Which Milltek are you fitting?

The reason they are teasing me is this:

Hey RedRobin - what on earth are those black blobs on ya bumper man!!!!!??????

Get um sprayed dude!! Oh, and give the god damn thing a clean an' all NONO3.GIF

They were only available as black aftermarket but fitted by my VW dealer. The late Stuart Black did me a special deal on them and they will remain black in his memory.

The car was dirty in the middle of Winter and doing a lot of mileage without the opportunity to clean it at the time.

cheers robin, gettin the 2 pipe non-resonated. i like yours but just had the bumper sprayed so cant justify changing it now.

ended up takin 1 of the silencers off the works exhaust i had on my mini cos it was too quiet so hopefully i've made the right choice goin non-res.

Warm welcome to TSN, Fizzie 169144-ok.gif. You sound as if you'll be okay with the Non-Resonated but you can always add the Resonated box later if not. There is no performance difference whatsoever in either. Be aware that it can take up to a couple of thousand miles for the Milltek to settle in 'noise'-wise. Noisiest at about 3,200 revs btw.

You getting Cat-back or Hi-flow?

got the exhaust done today. really glad i got non-res as its still a lot quieter than i expected. another issue i have is that it seems to stick quite far ot from the bumper, about 1.5". is this the norm? think it doesnt really look right as the vw one was a lot more flush.
