TDI (130) SEI I need new brake pads front and rear and am not sure which I need as the site I have checked shows two size and also vented and non vented discs? Help please? Thanks [/ QUOTE ] I'm sure yours will be vented. A 130hp TDi would certainly have vented disks. Just look at them and if it looks like two thin disks connected together with wee bars about 3/4" apart then they're vented, ie have a gap to allow air to pass thru the disk. This is probably the disk spec, but call VW and ask them for the size, quote you chassis number Vented discs with 5 bolt holes. Diameter=288mm. Hub diam=147mm. Height=34mm. New thickness=25mm. I was told that the rears look as if they have around 3,000 miles before they actually need looking at but we head up to Glasgow next week so am wondering about sorting it before then (around 750 miles round trip I reckon with local mileage).
