MattSLine
Thought I would post to say hi to everyone, just joined the Audi world a few months ago. I have for the past 13 years (and still am) been very active on the Vauxhall scene, but decided to buy an A3 to see what all the fuss was about . So sold my last toy and bought this. Heres a few pics of my A3, hope to get to know you all in due course!!

MattSLine
[ QUOTE ] welcome to TSN. I started off on Vauxhalls and moved to Audi. looks like your street has a competition for black cars being kept clean! [/ QUOTE ] Cool, what Vauxhall did you have? This is what I just sold in June to buy the Audi:- Still like the Vauxhall's, the Vectra is my work horse but had the interior re-trimmed, VXR bodykit and a VXR Performance Centre Re-Map. But I am getting to like the Audi's more and more, just ned to learn the in's and out's on the modifying side, which I am sure you guys will help me with!! Paul
97 R Calibra 2.0 16v in magnetic blue and then a 99 T Vectra GSi 2.5 V6 Star Silver Saloon. I use to frequent migweb, and was a moderator on Vectra-sport.com for 18 months, before its latest incarnation. Knew alot of heavily modified vectra's and Vauxhall owners. including a rare factory made (1 of 3 commisioned) ST3000 MSD Vectra and a Vectra GSI heavily modified, with a courtney 3.0 conversion went by the plate V6 VXL and did alot of events with Courtney's. Part of me does fancy a V6 (or V8) burble again.
MattSLine
Ah, V6 VXL, know it well, Mark Thomas used to own that, he now has a Vectra VXR which is well on it's way to 300bhp+ once the map is written for it. I did want an Astra VXR, but the other half wanted a 5dr, and after looking around at all the options, the A3 Sportback was the best option. The Astra SRi turbo 5dr will out handle the A3 every day of the week, but I also fancied a change.

Simonl
Ahhh Calibra 16v, remember mine well. It was westminster blue, 15" alloys (big at the time lol) and a nice blue/grey interior. Also had a 1.3SR Nova in silver grey back in 1992, loved that car!!! a great go cart.

Fazzzman
Always wondered how they managed to squeeze 120 bhp out my 1.8 Mk1 Astra GTE! Looked cool as anything though - they still do. Had it 14 months, stolen 4 times (eventually burnt out) and broken into once. Very secure ...
Paul
mate had a string of 8v Astra GTE's. One particular one had a habit of snapping camshaft's in half! many a saturday afternoon getting it back on the road with bits from the scrappers.
