NewNiceMrMe
I don't have a photo of this because my daughter was with me at time and I had to keep hold of her hand to stop her running across the road to challenge the cars daring to use the tarmac ahead of her... However, coming out of Pizza Hut on the Silverlink retail park earlier today I spotted a Porsche 911 Carrera 4, in gleaming black, pulling out of a parking spot. I was distracted by my daughter initially. Then, as we'd crossed the road, I heard him boot it. I mean reallly boot it. The difference with this driver was that he had music blasting from the cars open windows, was very young indeed, had a very young blonde girl with him, and he proceeded to boot it around the corner of the car park, back through it, and then double back again, doing exactly the same past the Odeon (formerly UCI) Cinema that is there. He was making such a noise that even my daughter asked 'whats that Daddy', to which I replied, 'just a silly man in a car'. Shame, because the car looked nice and I find it somewhat curious as to what motivates someone in a £75k-ish car to make a total dick out of themselves, especially when on a busy retail park full of children. Furthermore, I reckon he was no older than 18-19 years old, and the girl alongside him would be lucky to be 17. Unfortunately she'll be lucky to see 18 if she keeps going out in this morons car. MOSE
From my memories of that car park Chris, his actions were not good. Not that a person can let loose in a car park with plenty of room, that isnt an excuse either. Fond memories of that Pizza Hut and of the the other place a bit further along Franky and Benny?? Had a girlfriend at the time who had mastered the art of free meals couldnt keep it going for ever though
scotw
Perhaps a "borrowed" one that his father thinks is sitting at home in the garage.
NewNiceMrMe
Ah, well I can't stand Frankie and Bennys anyway. However, the wife and kids love it. I did actually ask her if she wanted to go to Frankie and Bennys but she said she didn't like Benny.
NewNiceMrMe
[ QUOTE ] Perhaps a "borrowed" one that his father thinks is sitting at home in the garage. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, that thought did cross my mind, but he'd be even more moronic to demonstrate his Chavness in the car if his Dad didn't know he was out in it - because I wouldn't be surprised if he either upset someone or got reported. Could be though. In some ways I hope it was - because if he could afford a £75k and still think it was cool to behave like he did, then the world is in a very sorry state indeed. stevie_d
[ QUOTE ] Perhaps a "borrowed" one that his father thinks is sitting at home in the garage. [/ QUOTE ] Yup, I'd put money on that! Obviously the car could have been his, but given how young he was and how he was driving then it's probably borrowed... How do these morons not realise what everyone thinks? Christ, I did a bit of a wheelspin out of the petrol station the other day and I was really embarrassed as I knew everyone there was thinking "cock" and not "cool" p.s. the wheel spin was obviously an accident! NewNiceMrMe
Actually, another thought crossed my mine this morning. The location I mention is about 200 yards (adjacent) from a Porsche Main Dealers. Oh I do hope it wasn't a customers car.........
P_G
That was my thought, an apprentice grease monkey in a customers car or a demonstrator (what was the plate on the car)?
