Guys

Just noticed in the S3 price lists it states the below against the IPOD connection. So seeing as I am haveing 6CD and Sat/Nav is this really a no no.

iPod connection, for playing/charging iPod in your S3. Located in glovebox and controllable via radio

or multi-function steering wheel (cannot be combined with CD-changer or CD-ROM Satellite Navigation)

You deffo can't have IPOD and 6 CD Autochanges as it uses the same connector and cable. 169144-ok.gif

As for the Sat-nav. Save your money and get a new updated Tomtom. Far better sat nav, camera alerts, POIs and you could even use it as your bluetooth kit. Oh and you don't loose any depreciation on it like you do with the factory fit and save yourself over 2k in the process. beerchug.gif

don't get me wrong but i see your point about using an aftermarket sat/nav but there is quiet a steady rise in break ins and thefts in cars where t-leaves can see round suction marks on the glass and think you have put it in the glove box.

I have the audi sat/nav with ipod connection and i must say the ipod conncetion is the biggest waste of money ever, you cannot read any track names or albums......but with the sat nav there are 2 SD card slots behind the screen so if you bought 2 4gb sd cards at £40 each you 2000 tracks and this allows you to view the track names and albums.

So i would say yes to sat nav but no to ipod
