A4 Brake Discs. What size??

I am needing to replace the front discs and pads on my 2003 Avant 1.8T (190). I have spoken to Euro Car Parts and they say the discs for my car are 280mm. I am almost certain that mines are 312mm. He says that 280mm is the biggest shown against my model of car.

Could I order the discs from 2.5 TDi or 3.0 models as these are shown as 312mm?
