Tobes49
I'm in the process of doing the bedroom up, I have put some new sockets on the wall for when I get a flat screen TV. I'm going to lay a TV coax cable in. I want to lay the provision for a scart cable in. Can anyone recommend a cable to do this, I was thinking along the lines of cat5 network cable would this work (I have got a lot laying around) or is there a better option? Paul
I am no expert on the AV stuff, but if you want to install a scart lead, then I would consider picking something like this up from maplins, in your desired length. ready made off for plug and play. http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?TabID=1&criteria=scart&ModuleNo=35909&doy=4m9

You take the output from RF2 on the Sky box into coax and then there is a small inline module that sits between the end of the coax and tv in the bedroom. Linky Jon. shao_khan
Ours id done with a run of coax from the Sky box RF2 upto the roof space - got an amp and splitter up there that then feeds the bedrooms. Providing you use the right box in the roof the sky eye will work fine, apparently the Sky use a current in the cable as well and a lot of amplifiers or splitters stop this and you have to have bypass wires - but some of the newer boxes just pass it through. If you do it this way then it allows you to do other rooms at a later date - kitchen, bed 2, etc.
Tobes49
Cheers for the info, I allready have a sky eye installed and it works really well, I'm looking to upgrade to about a 26-30" screen in the bedroom and think the picture quality might not be good enough through the coax. I have been told that maplins do the cable I need, the main reason i cant use a pre-made lead is i dont fancy drilling holes in the wall to fit the scart connector through.
