smass
Anyone with any recommendations on a decent rear box for my car, its got the standard double bent down pea-shooter rear box at the mo, i've seen other mk4 gti's with black/grey straight twin exhausts, which i'm quite interested in, i dont want a really loud box, something a bit more subtle. any ideas/recommendations would be much appreciated, thanks

RedRobin
....Well, it's a good starting point and smass has said he/she wants something subtle rather than boy-racer.
Mook
Try Milltek, Milltek or Milltek
shark_90
I'd perhaps have a think about Milltek, I've heard they're pretty good. There's also this little known company called Milltek who come highly recommended.
petsy
wonder why no-one has mentioned or suggested Milltek!
shao_khan
This is a picture of a Miltek for a MK4 1.8T: http://www.woofdoggy.com/images/Cars/Golf/Golfrear003.JPG this is the Anniversary edition so larger single. Miltek have very good reputation - but I have read of several people having some issues with Miltek with the Mild / stainless joints cracking and breaking - not sure what age these products would be tho. RedRobin
SK > You probably already know that Milltek's products are guaranteed for the whole time that someone continues their ownership of the car fitted with Millteks. In other words the guarantee only stops when you sell your car which you fitted Millteks to. Consequently I would expect such breakages or cracks would be freely repaired. Mook
[ QUOTE ] wonder why no-one has mentioned or suggested Milltek! [/ QUOTE ] I know, I was confused about that as well. I think that's one of the company's I would suggest, but like Shark says, there's always that other little known company called Milltek...
