[Audi A3/S3] How long until next service? - S3

Hi,

I am looking at buying an S3 from AT. It currently has ~30k miles on the clock. I am aware that Audi offer two type of servicing. Is it possible to judge when the next service is likely to be? The car is on a 51 plate.

Any advice, gratefully received.

If it's on AVS servicing, it will be due around 34,000 and the 2nd AVS will cost between £450-500 from an Audi dealer, less from a specialist, perhaps £300+. The Haldex oil and filter need changed at the 2nd AVS which makes it expensive.

If the car is on annual servicing, you should be able to work that out (approximately) from the date of registration.

If the car is a 51 plate, it's unlikely to have any warranty, so I would use a specialist to do the work.

Edit: just realised, the car is probably about 5 years old with 30k miles, it is most likely on annual servicing!

press the left stalk, whilst igniton on but car not moving... does it tell you?

it will with AVS variable servicing.

Not sure what it does with annual, never had it.
